100% Domestic Bagomax Automatic Bag Opening: Balıkesir Manufacturing and Global Shipment

TEPRO

We manufactured our Bagomax 600 automatic bag-opening system with 100% domestic engineering at our Balıkesir facilities and shipped it to a global customer. 15-20 tonnes/hour capacity, 99.98% emptying efficiency and full OHS compliance.

We continue to deliver innovative solutions in industrial raw-material handling. Manufactured entirely with domestic engineering and production capability at our Balıkesir facilities, our Bagomax automatic bag-opening system was completed and successfully shipped to a global customer.

From design and manufacturing to assembly, testing and commissioning, the entire process is carried out by our own engineering team — which both shortens delivery time and lets us deliver a solution tailored precisely to every requirement on site.

Why Choose Automatic Bag Opening (Bagomax)?

At plants processing raw material at high capacity, opening 25 kg bags by hand is a slow, tiring and costly process. Whereas an operator can feed roughly 3-4 tonnes/hour manually, Bagomax 600 performs the same task automatically at 15-20 tonnes/hour. That difference translates directly into operational efficiency:

  • Creates an uninterrupted, efficient feeding environment for high-capacity production lines.
  • Significantly reduces labour costs through automatic bag opening.
  • Minimises raw-material loss; bag-emptying efficiency exceeds 99.98%.
  • Reduces the risk of foreign matter contaminating the raw material.
  • Provides a working environment fully compliant with occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations.
  • Integrates seamlessly into central raw-material feeding systems.
  • Adapts easily to existing silos and silo-loading units.
  • Pays for itself quickly with low operating costs and a high return on investment.

Requirements and Correct Analysis

During the engineering phase, we built a configuration that directly answers the plant's critical expectations:

  • High-capacity raw-material feeding in a short time
  • An ideal, repeatable infrastructure for the bag-emptying process
  • Complete prevention of raw-material waste
  • Maximum cost savings through an efficient operating solution
  • Elimination of the extra costs caused by uncontrolled material loss, area contamination and cleaning
  • Minimisation of work-accident risks

How Bagomax Works

The system operates at maximum efficiency by keeping human intervention on the production line to a minimum:

  • A full pallet of 25 kg bags is placed on the feeding lift. The transport lift moves upward, bringing the pallet to the level where the hooks can pick up the bags.
  • The moving hooks grip the top row of the pallet; as they carry the bags over the rotating blades to the collection hopper, the blades cut the bags open so the granules fall into the hopper.
  • A specially designed shaking method empties the bags at a minimum rate of 99.98%.
  • Once emptied, the bags are automatically released by the moving hooks into the waste-bag hopper.

The granules poured into the hopper are transferred to the central line through the integrated cyclone and feeding group, so the entire flow — from bag opening to silo feeding — is managed in a single, closed circuit.

Capacity note: A standard pallet holds on average 11 rows of five 25 kg bags each — 55 full bags in total — which corresponds to 1,375 kg of raw material per pallet.

Realised with 100% domestic engineering and production, this project is a concrete demonstration of our capabilities in design, manufacturing and on-site adaptation. We will continue with the same determination to develop solutions that add value to industry, prioritise occupational safety and permanently reduce operating costs.
